Senior Platform Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: USA - Remote; remote work from home. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Salary: $135,000–$150,000 annual salary, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Build, automate, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for internal engineering teams.
• Develop a self-service platform for provisioning compute, data, and machine learning resources.
• Embed security, data governance, quality, compliance, observability, monitoring, alerting, and support capabilities.
• Evaluate new tools, translate cross-functional requirements into platform capabilities, and establish technical standards.
• Mentor engineers and drive architecture and design decisions across teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience, including hands-on data or AI/ML infrastructure work.
• Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform and working familiarity with multi-cloud environments.
• Strong experience with Terraform or Pulumi, CI/CD tooling, Docker, Kubernetes, and Python, Go, or Bash.
• Knowledge of cloud security, networking, monitoring, observability, incident response, and reliability practices.
• Experience setting technical direction at platform scale, establishing standards, making architecture decisions, and mentoring engineers.
• Computer science or engineering degree, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, biotechnology, or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, GxP, SOX, and rigorous data governance requirements.
• Experience working in a matrixed environment.
