DevOps Automation Engineer (CI/CD)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must reside in AL, AZ, DC, FL, GA, ID, MD, MS, NJ, NC, OK, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, or WV. Occasional travel to FAA facilities and other locations in the Continental United States may be required. Availability during Eastern Time business hours is required.

What you will do

• Design, build, operate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications, infrastructure, data services, and machine-learning workloads.
• Automate builds, testing, security scanning, artifact management, deployments, environment promotion, rollbacks, and release controls.
• Develop infrastructure as code and configuration automation while supporting GitOps and reproducible environments.
• Manage containerized applications and machine-learning models using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement security, quality, compliance, monitoring, and logging controls throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot pipeline, deployment, infrastructure, and environment failures, lead root-cause analysis, and collaborate with software, cloud, data, security, QA, and machine-learning teams.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and residence in one of the listed U.S. states are required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and FAA Contractor Personnel Suitability.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of enterprise DevOps experience.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Git.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK, plus proficiency in Python, Java, R, or Bash.

Nice to have

• Federal, FAA, or regulated enterprise experience.
• Experience deploying machine-learning models and familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Cloud or DevOps certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or Docker Certified Associate.
• Familiarity with FAA security, governance, documentation, Agile, and continuous-delivery standards.
