Legal Product Builder (AI)

Salary: $204,000–$240,000 per year

What you will do

• Build AI-powered legal products with engineers and product managers.
• Translate legal processes such as contract review and compliance into rules, workflows, exceptions, and escalation paths for AI agents.
• Develop examples, evaluation criteria, test cases, and feedback loops to improve agent accuracy and reliability.
• Evaluate agent performance against real-world scenarios, diagnose failure modes, and address ambiguity and edge cases.
• Prototype legal capabilities using prompts, workflows, and agent behavior experiments.

Requirements

• Lawyer with 4+ years of substantive legal training and experience in Big Law, an asset manager, a private equity firm, or a comparable legal or legal-adjacent role.
• Demonstrated ability to identify weaknesses in legal workflows and propose or build improved solutions.
• Technical fluency sufficient to collaborate with engineers on AI product development without necessarily writing code.
• Strong written communication, sound judgment, and a high degree of autonomy.
• Ability to work from San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY.
• United States employment authorization is required; hirify.global uses E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Commercial contract negotiation experience, including NDAs, subscription agreements, and transaction documents.
• Experience at a legal technology company or in a hybrid legal/product role.
• Familiarity with contract automation, document intelligence, or negotiation tooling.
• Founder experience or experience building a product from scratch.
