Senior Communications Consultant (Healthcare)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days remote

Base pay: $76,600–$138,500 annually

What you will do

• Develop and execute communications for multiple audiences.
• Interact with clients and management at all organizational levels.
• Draft, edit, and supervise the production of print and web communications.
• Mentor other team members and support staff development.
• Lead projects and manage multiple initiatives with shifting deadlines.
• Handle escalated and sensitive issues while influencing positive outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or a related field with seven years of copy development or editing experience, or eleven years of communications experience.
• Leadership skills, including mentoring staff and assisting management.
• Project management skills and the ability to work under pressure with short deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with diverse audiences and handling confidential information.
• Ability to initiate and complete tasks independently.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
