Head of Communications (HR Tech)

Location: Austin, Texas; New York, New York; San Francisco, California; or Remote within the US

Salary: $160,000–$210,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Own communications strategy across earned media, thought leadership, and organic social.
• Build relationships with leading reporters and secure meaningful media coverage.
• Turn company news, industry trends, cultural moments, data, and expertise into original stories and reports.
• Develop distinct voices for hirify.global and its executives across press, podcasts, and social media.
• Expand hirify.global beyond a B2B benefits brand by making healthcare easier to understand and more relevant to consumers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of communications experience, ideally in healthcare, benefits, or HR technology.
• Demonstrated success securing earned media and building relationships with leading reporters.
• Exceptional writing and editorial judgment when communicating complex topics.
• Strong industry fluency and the ability to identify newsworthy opportunities.
• Hands-on operating style, combining communications strategy with pitch writing and execution.

Nice to have

• Experience building a communications function or company narrative from scratch.
• Experience turning data or industry trends into stories that earn attention.
• Experience building a recognizable company voice.
