What you will do

• Own Sentinel's editorial output across newsletters, impact stories, website content, blogs, case studies, annual reports, briefs, and donor communications.
• Draft and edit policy briefs, white papers, talking points, presentation materials, conference content, abstracts, and external announcements.
• Manage the Sentinel website, email communications, newsletter distribution, and LinkedIn-focused social media strategy.
• Design reports, presentations, brochures, posters, infographics, and other branded communications materials.
• Coordinate communications for scientific publications, conferences, major announcements, photography, graphics, and multimedia assets.
• Maintain the annual communications calendar and production timelines across concurrent communication streams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, public health, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in communications, science communications, or nonprofit communications.
• Outstanding writing and editing skills across multiple formats and audiences, supported by a portfolio of high-quality communications materials.
• Strong graphic design experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent tools.
• Experience managing websites through content management systems and organizational social media accounts.
• Work onsite in Cambridge, Massachusetts; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience communicating scientific research, public health, or global health programs.
• Experience supporting donor-funded or internationally operating programs.
• Knowledge of infectious disease, genomics, laboratory systems, or global health surveillance.
• Photography, videography, multimedia, email marketing, website analytics, or digital performance monitoring experience.
