Principal DevOps Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Architect, operate, and evolve AWS infrastructure with Terraform, including IAM, network segmentation, secrets management, and compliance guardrails.
• Design and improve GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines with SAST, secrets detection, container scanning, policy enforcement, and quality gates.
• Lead cloud security practices using GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, and related vulnerability-management and incident-response processes.
• Define SLOs, build CloudWatch-based observability and alerting, participate in on-call rotations, and lead blameless post-mortems.
• Maintain build and release environments, develop automation and test tooling, and keep runbooks and architecture documentation actionable.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture and code reviews, mentorship, engineering standards, and executive communication about platform strategy and infrastructure investments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on DevOps or SRE experience, including at least 5 years operating production AWS workloads at scale.
• Experience with EC2, ECS, ECR, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, EKS, and CloudFront.
• Deep Terraform and GitHub Actions expertise, including modular infrastructure code and integrated security scanning.
• Hands-on cloud security experience with GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, SCPs, and related practices.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, or Bash; solid Linux administration and Docker experience.
• Principal or staff-level technical leadership, SRE practice, cross-platform compilation, code signing, supply chain security, and executive-level communication experience.

• Jenkins experience.
• Windows Server and Windows container experience.
• BA/BS in Engineering or Computer Science.
• AWS Professional-level certification such as Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Professional.
