Senior DevOps Engineer, CI/CD Platform (Developer Experience)

Location: Madrid, Spain; office-first hybrid work with on-site attendance 80% of the time and remote work 20% of the time.

Salary: €60,500–€77,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own CI/CD Kubernetes clusters end to end, including capacity, reliability, upgrades, security, and cost.
• Operate self-hosted GitHub Actions at scale with Actions Runner Controller, ephemeral pods, runner images, and Docker-in-Docker.
• Maintain test data services including MySQL, Redis, and ClickHouse, alongside Rails application containers.
• Design build caching, registry mirrors, and platform instrumentation to reduce queue wait and build duration.
• Manage Terraform, Flux, Argo CD, Kustomize, Helm, bare-metal provisioning, Linux, and datacenter networking.
• Lead incident response, run blameless postmortems, and improve platform guardrails, alerts, and runbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production infrastructure experience with Kubernetes at the center.
• Strong Kubernetes expertise, including scheduling, resource management, evictions, node pressure, DaemonSets, controllers, and operators.
• Strong Linux and container fundamentals, including containerd or Docker, cgroups, namespaces, storage drivers, and networking.
• Experience with Terraform, infrastructure as code, CI/CD platforms, GitHub Actions, shared workflows, runner architecture, and build caching.
• Bash plus Python or Go scripting skills, and practical experience with Prometheus-style observability and OpenTelemetry.
• Operational maturity in on-call work, incident command, postmortems, capacity planning, cost management, and technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with large Ruby on Rails test suites, MySQL, Redis, or ClickHouse.
• Bare-metal provisioning, hardware failures, overlay or WireGuard networking, VLANs, and Cilium.
• Internal developer tooling, platform APIs, supply-chain security, runner isolation, and image provenance.
• Experience across AWS, Azure, and Cloudflare or contributions to open-source infrastructure projects.
