Integration Engineering Manager

Location: Manchester, UK; hybrid working with a minimum of 50% of working time per month in the office. New team members initially work full-time in the office.

What you will do

• Own a strategic engineering capability used by software engineering teams across hirify.global.
• Lead the adoption and evolution of the ETL data streaming platform.
• Establish a new capability for evolving critical business processes.
• Coach and develop engineers while building a high-performance culture and future technical leaders.
• Contribute to technical discussions, architectural decisions, and the evolution of engineering capabilities.
• Collaborate with product, operational, regulatory, and technology teams to improve delivery pace and quality.

Requirements

• Experience leading software engineering teams with strong coaching and mentoring skills.
• Deep software engineering background, including software and system integration.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and experience operating critical production services.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and confidence in technical design discussions.
• Experience owning and evolving engineering platforms used by multiple development teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a balance of management and technology focus.

• AWS serverless technologies.
• Event streaming and messaging technologies.
• Enterprise integration patterns and platform engineering.
• Modernisation programmes or financial services industry experience.
• AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot.
