Global Procurement Manager – Operations

Location: Netherlands, with balanced office-based working in Amsterdam and flexibility to work from home based on team needs and individual circumstances

Salary: EUR 88,000–115,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute global procurement strategies for Operations categories, including logistics, CAPEX, and MRO.
• Lead category strategy for logistics services such as warehousing, transportation, and ocean and air freight.
• Drive sourcing events, cost savings, continuous improvement, and service-level optimization.
• Support negotiations with strategic suppliers and improve supplier management frameworks, contract templates, and risk assessment protocols.
• Partner with logistics, operations, finance, legal, and senior leadership on strategic decisions and complex procurement issues.
• Coach and mentor three sourcing leads and two CoE support members from the outsourced procurement partner.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in indirect procurement, with a strong focus on logistics, especially ocean freight and warehousing.
• At least 4–5 years of experience working with ocean freight and warehousing categories.
• Experience managing global categories and executing RFQs.
• Practical experience with procurement tools such as Ariba, Coupa, or Archlet.
• Fluent English in written and spoken communication.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, analytical, strategic thinking, coaching, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
