Head of Facility Management Europe

Location: Cologne, Germany, with regular travel across European sites and on-site presence in Sevenum, Netherlands, at least twice a week. Work from home may be arranged individually, including up to 20 days per year anywhere in the EU, but the role requires regular physical site presence.

What you will do

• Define and execute the European Facility Management strategy in line with business growth, operational resilience, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
• Lead governance and operational continuity across three large logistics distribution centers, three smaller warehouses, one headquarters building, and approximately eight office buildings.
• Lead and empower a decentralized, multi-country Facility Management organization with clear accountability and continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic direction to the Technical Engineering function responsible for conveyor and automation system maintenance.
• Own the multi-million-euro budget, including CAPEX/OPEX planning, vendor strategy, and performance management.
• Establish scalable governance frameworks, KPIs, reporting structures, and management systems while partnering with Operations, Logistics, HR, Finance, and executive leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of international Facility Management experience, preferably in logistics, warehousing, or industrial environments.
• Proven experience in strategic Facility Management leadership roles and managing large, multi-country portfolios.
• Demonstrated responsibility for budgets in the multi-million-euro range.
• Experience building structure, governance, and scalable processes.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly across European sites and be on site in Sevenum at least twice a week.
• Fluent or business-level English is mandatory.
