Regional Ocean Freight Procurement Manager - Europe

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands. Travel of up to 15% is required.

Global food and beverage ingredients business supplying cocoa, coffee, dairy, nuts, and spices to manufacturers worldwide.

What you will do

• Manage regional procurement for ocean freight, including containerized shipping, freight forwarding, and drayage.
• Negotiate and execute supplier contracts focused on quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Lead logistics tenders, strategic sourcing activities, supplier meetings, and regional logistics initiatives.
• Develop a regional logistics plan aligned with global strategy and business-unit requirements.
• Identify network synergies, optimize the regional logistics footprint, and deliver savings and process improvements.
• Resolve operational escalations and partner on cross-functional projects such as SAP S4HANA, master data, and sustainability reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics procurement, preferably ocean freight.
• Strong logistics and supply chain background with experience in strategic sourcing and supplier or contract management.
• Analytical, organized, and experienced in cross-functional project management.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-influencing skills.
• Fluent English is required; Spanish and Portuguese are nice to have.

Nice to have

• Experience with Coupa tender tools or transport management systems such as Oracle.
• Spanish or Portuguese language skills.
