Senior Associate, Quality Engineering (Aerospace)

Location: Palm Bay, Florida, United States; onsite. The schedule follows a 9/80 arrangement, with every other Friday off. Potential travel may be required to support customer needs.

What you will do

• Collaborate with management, program offices, engineering, testing functions, and internal and external customers on technical requirements.
• Develop and implement program quality plans, procedures, statistical quality controls, and analyses.
• Lead continuous improvement and corrective/preventive action investigations, including RCCA and 8D processes.
• Review engineering specifications, drawings, models, work instructions, acceptance test procedures, and contractual quality requirements.
• Support Material Review Board activities, FRACAS, failure analysis, Test Failure Review Board meetings, audits, APQP deliverables, and FAI reports.
• Plan the development or transfer of manufacturing operations and apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, Quality Sciences, or a related field, either in progress or completed within the last 12 months.
• Knowledge of ISO/AS9100 specifications and ability to implement AS9100 requirements into standard work.
• Ability to analyze defect data, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for product and process nonconformances.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, customer quality requirements, and company quality requirements.
• Understanding of GD&T fundamentals, AS9102 First Article Inspection triggers, and manufacturing drawing requirements.
• Security clearances may require U.S. citizenship; background checks, drug testing, and E-Verify procedures may apply.
