Senior Manager, Supplier Quality (Aerospace)

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States; workplace: on-site. Travel to supplier and manufacturing sites may be required domestically and occasionally internationally, up to approximately 50% of the time.

What you will do

• Lead multiple supplier quality engineering teams across supplier qualification, development, surveillance, performance management, and corrective action.
• Set supplier quality priorities, allocate resources, and translate organizational objectives into staffing and execution plans.
• Develop quality leaders and engineering personnel through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and technical growth.
• Oversee supplier audits, source inspections, risk assessments, approved supplier status, and quality requirements across aerospace commodities.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes, process controls, FAI/AS9102, PPAP, inspection methods, and quality documentation.
• Lead resolution of supplier nonconformances, SCARs, corrective actions, supplier recovery, and capability improvement initiatives in partnership with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, eligible protected status, or the required U.S. Department of State authorizations is required under U.S. space technology export regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• At least 9 years of related experience, including 2–5 years of leadership or management experience supervising quality or supplier quality engineering staff.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 quality management systems, aerospace supplier quality, supplier qualification, PPAP, and AS9102 First Article Inspection.
• Experience with root cause analysis, 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, SPC, quality inspection methods, and supplier performance metrics.
• Experience with ERP/MRP, QMS, PLM, statistical analysis, and productivity software, including Acumatica, SAP, Minitab, and Microsoft Office or comparable platforms.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Manager, or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
