AI-First Analytics Engineer

What you will do

• Own the full journey from raw data ingestion and dbt models on AWS to business insights, metrics, and AI use cases.
• Design clean, scalable, and reliable data models for people and AI systems.
• Build data quality into the architecture through testing, documentation, lineage, and governance.
• Partner with Data Engineering on ingestion and pipelines to ensure fresh and dependable data.
• Work with Product, Engineering, and Finance to turn ambiguous questions into maintainable data products.
• Grow into financial reporting for Finion Capital alongside finance specialists.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a similar role, ideally focused on data warehousing.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt and a cloud data warehouse.
• Understanding of dimensional modelling, slowly changing dimensions, and incremental patterns.
• Practical Python skills for data work.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools and the judgment to review, validate, and improve their output.
• English at C1 level or above, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial, payments, or regulated reporting data.
• German language skills.
