Senior Analytics Engineer (dbt)

Location: New York City, United States; must be commutable to the NYC headquarters. Hybrid in-person environment with required office attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a default schedule of 3–4 days per week.

Salary: $175,000–$205,000 per year plus equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Own the architecture of the dbt project, including design patterns, modeling standards, and staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to support new features, review design documents, and keep metrics and downstream data consumers accurate.
• Build, refactor, and optimize dbt models that transform raw product and customer data into scalable datasets.
• Use AI to create automated testing, documentation, and data-access workflows.
• Collaborate with data engineering on ingestion and transformation pipelines across Segment, Fivetran, and Airflow.
• Drive data privacy, governance, and quality standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an analytics engineer, data engineer, or reporting engineer, including 2+ years of hands-on dbt development.
• Experience building AI-assisted workflows for data modeling, testing, or documentation.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience creating fast, readable models as data volume grows.
• Hands-on knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT principles, and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, Hex, Segment, Matia, Fivetran, and Airflow.
• Must be commutable to the NYC headquarters and work in person 3–4 days per week.
