Litigation Paralegal (Civil Litigation)

Location: Remote, San Francisco Bay Area, California

Salary: $30–$43 per hour, depending on experience; overtime is paid at 1.5× the regular hourly rate.

What you will do

• Assist attorneys with discovery, subpoenas, motions, supporting documents, exhibits, and deposition and hearing binders.
• Coordinate trial preparation, including witnesses, travel, trial exhibits, charts, trial notebooks, subpoenas, and page lines.
• Obtain, review, and organize medical records and billing information; calculate medical, wage, and property damages.
• Manage case records, discovery, deadlines, and legal technology workflows throughout the life of each matter.
• Communicate with clients, experts, and attorneys regarding case status and preparation.

Requirements

• Paralegal certification.
• 3–5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
• Experience with litigation in California and a solid understanding of civil litigation rules and deadlines in state and federal courts.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage competing priorities.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, listening, and teamwork skills.
