Sr. Product Engineering Technician (Semiconductor)

Location: Manila, Philippines. This position requires satisfactory proof of the right to work in the Philippines and may require support outside standard working hours.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory test environments, ATE systems, package handlers, and bench characterization platforms.
• Execute engineering and qualification sample testing and deliver timely results and tested units to internal and external customers.
• Install, validate, qualify, calibrate, and maintain ATE and bench hardware, instruments, fixtures, and workstations.
• Identify, document, and resolve equipment, board-level, setup, and test execution issues with vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Track laboratory inventories, golden units, characterization samples, test hardware, consumables, and equipment utilization.
• Support purchasing, budgeting, preventive maintenance, safety, ESD compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in semiconductor laboratory, product engineering, test engineering, or manufacturing support.
• Experience with new product introduction, silicon validation, characterization, qualification, and production test activities.
• Advanced hands-on experience with ATE systems, package handlers, temperature forcers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, pattern generators, logic analyzers, and digital multimeters.
• Experience with board modifications, rework, soldering, wiring, fixture repair, equipment inventories, and engineering samples.
• Ability to analyze yield, test-time, throughput, utilization, and operational metrics using statistical and data-driven methods.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the right to work in the Philippines are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Nextest Magnum SV/PV, Teradyne UltraFLEX, Synax 2400, and Seiko-Epson systems.
• Working knowledge of Python, VBA, C++, and AI-assisted tools.
