Sr. Engineer, Frontend - Data Platform Experiences (Hybrid, London)

What you will do

• Design and build data-first interfaces for schema exploration, data lineage, queries, semantic modeling, dashboards, and the Data Platform Concierge.
• Extend the shared component language used across Data Platform surfaces.
• Partner with UX, backend, and platform engineers to turn platform primitives into self-service customer experiences.
• Improve frontend testing, component architecture, accessibility, and build and deployment pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and participate in design reviews for customer-facing Data Platform surfaces.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency with TypeScript, ES6+, and modern JavaScript patterns.
• Strong working knowledge of at least one major frontend framework, including React, Vue, Angular, Ember, or a similar framework.
• Experience building reusable components with the Web Components API and Lit or similar declarative component libraries.
• Hands-on experience with charting or visualization libraries such as amCharts or D3 and interactive dashboards.
• Knowledge of component architecture, dependency injection, state management, modular design, build tools, monorepos, and frontend CI/CD.
• Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vitest, Playwright, or similar unit, integration, and end-to-end testing tools.
• Knowledge of XML schemas, configuration-driven UI patterns, REST, GraphQL, or similar query patterns.
• Experience building interfaces on top of LLMs, agents, or MCP-style tooling.
• Open source contributions or experience in cybersecurity, data platforms, or developer tools.
