What you will do

• Develop high-quality, responsive, and accessible front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Translate UI/UX designs into polished interfaces aligned with accessibility, usability, and government digital standards.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, QA, and DevOps to deliver integrated end-to-end solutions.
• Build reusable components and shared UI patterns to maintain clean and scalable codebases.
• Perform testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure fast and secure user experiences.
• Lead front-end delivery, define architecture, and mentor junior and mid-level developers.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with React, Vue.js, or Next.js and state management patterns.
• Strong understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
• Proficiency in Git, RESTful API integration, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Eligibility for UK Government security clearance (BPSS, SC, or DV).
• Must be located in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience as a technical lead on complex digital delivery projects.
• Knowledge of cloud-native delivery models (AWS or Azure).
• Exposure to Node.js and server-side JavaScript.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer, or CKA/CKAD.
