Head of Strategic Deployments & Operations (Healthcare AI)

Location: On-site in the New York City office, United States

Annual base salary: $250,000–$300,000, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end deployment of high-value payer programs, from scoping and workflow design through launch and steady state.
• Translate payer priorities, including HEDIS, Stars, care gaps, member experience, and compliance requirements, into measurable program designs.
• Review workflow designs, guide customer stakeholders across clinical, operational, IT, compliance, and executive functions, and lead change management.
• Define campaign quality standards, measurement frameworks, QA processes, performance baselines, and corrective actions.
• Own nurse-supported operating models, including staffing, scheduling, protocols, documentation, escalation paths, and productivity metrics.
• Hire and develop deployment, program management, and nurse operations teams while creating repeatable playbooks and launch processes.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience as a business operator, project manager, product manager, or management consultant within healthcare.
• Deep familiarity with payer workflows, quality and Stars programs, HEDIS measures, care management, member outreach, and related compliance constraints.
• Experience designing and launching complex, multi-stakeholder programs where workflow design drove outcomes.
• Hands-on experience defining operational metrics, running QA, tracking outcomes, and fixing underperformance.
• Experience with clinical or nurse-led operations and the ability to communicate credibly with health plan executives and engineers.
• Must work onsite in the New York City office.

Nice to have

• Direct experience inside a health plan in Quality, Stars, Care Management, or Member Engagement leadership.
• At least three years of team leadership in payer operations, quality, or customer-facing payer implementation.
• Healthtech startup or digital health vendor experience.
• RN credential or experience managing RN teams.
• Experience with AI- or automation-driven outreach, contact center operations, or workforce management.
