Head of Mid-Market Deployment & Operations (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid

Compensation: OTE $300K–$330K, plus equity.

What you will do

• Lead and scale the APM and ASM teams serving mid-market customers, including hiring, team structure, and career development.
• Own the mid-market launch process, including scoping, templates, configuration, and time-to-launch targets.
• Manage portfolio performance across launch speed, agent performance, abandonment, hold time, conversion, and staffing capacity.
• Build dashboards, reviews, and capacity models to identify risks and make prioritization decisions across concurrent launches.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to standardize recurring customer requests and with Sales to improve qualification and handoffs.
• Personally support at-risk launches and escalations, then improve the processes behind them.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience across consulting, investment banking, or technology, plus experience in a fast-growing technology company or startup.
• Experience building repeatable delivery or onboarding processes, related metrics, and operational tooling.
• Proven experience hiring, developing, and managing teams through rapid growth.
• Strong analytical skills, including defining metrics, modeling capacity, and presenting portfolio insights to senior leadership.
• Experience building or implementing AI solutions, or using AI to build agents and systems.
• STEM or advanced degree, ownership mentality, and comfort with ambiguity and escalations.

Nice to have

• Healthcare experience in patient access, scheduling, contact centers, or digital front door products.
• Experience implementing software in Epic or other EHR systems.
• Familiarity with Genesys, NICE, Five9, Cisco, RingCentral, or Twilio.
• Experience with AI governance, clinical safety, and responsible AI review.
