Chief of Staff (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site

Salary: $190K–$230K plus equity

What you will do

• Work directly with the CEO to turn broad goals and open questions into plans, decisions, owners, and next steps.
• Own strategic and operating projects across functions from problem definition through execution.
• Run the company’s operating rhythm, track priorities, surface issues, and turn decisions into action.
• Analyze business performance and important company decisions, developing clear recommendations from relevant data.
• Partner with leaders across research, engineering, product, data operations, go-to-market, finance, and people.
• Support board preparation, fundraising, executive hiring, organizational planning, and temporary ownership of new initiatives.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in high-ownership roles at a fast-growing technology company, startup, investment firm, consulting firm, or similar environment.
• Experience owning complex work end to end with direct accountability for outcomes.
• Strong analytical judgment and the ability to form clear points of view from ambiguous problems and incomplete information.
• Strong written and verbal communication with executives and operators.
• Experience driving cross-functional work through people who do not report to you.
• Comfort moving between high-level strategy and detailed execution in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience as a founder, early-stage operator, GM, or strategy and operations leader at a high-growth startup.
• Experience working closely with a founder or CEO.
• Experience in AI, data infrastructure, marketplaces, or another technically complex business.
• Experience with board preparation, fundraising, executive recruiting, or company-level planning.
• Experience taking initiatives from zero to one and handing them over to dedicated owners.
