Sr. Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis – Cloud Infrastructure

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States

Base pay range: $187,700–$275,275 annually for the San Francisco Bay Area, including Sunnyvale. Additional U.S. geographic-market ranges may apply.

What you will do

• Own the budget, monthly forecast, and quarterly and annual outlook for Azure and AWS infrastructure spend.
• Model the impact of cloud spending across the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Partner with Engineering, DevOps, Product, Procurement, Accounting, and cloud providers to translate usage drivers into financial assumptions.
• Identify and track optimization opportunities, including rightsizing, commitment coverage, architecture changes, waste reduction, and AWS SCA credits.
• Contribute to hosting strategy, workload placement, capacity planning, build-versus-buy decisions, and roadmap cost analysis.
• Build financial models, dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting for cloud cost allocation and FinOps governance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, or a related field, ideally in a SaaS, technology, or cloud-delivered business.
• Experience managing cloud or infrastructure budgets and forecasts, with knowledge of AWS and/or Azure billing and pricing models.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or developing financial analysts.
• Strong three-statement financial modeling and accounting knowledge, including prepaids, amortization, capitalization, and cash flow timing.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial planning tools, ERP systems, and platforms such as Adaptive.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Nice to have

• FinOps experience or FinOps Foundation certification.
• Experience with enterprise commitments such as EDP or MACC and vendor incentive programs such as AWS SCA.
• Experience with SQL, BI tools, cloud cost management platforms, unit economics, or SaaS COGS and gross margin models.
• MBA, CPA, or CFA.
