Senior Value Engineer (FinOps & Spend Analytics)

What you will do

• Partner with account teams and customers to address complex business challenges using data-driven insights.
• Analyze Snowflake consumption data across business units, workloads, and use cases to optimize spend and performance.
• Develop cloud unit economics models, KPIs, and cost, usage, and performance benchmarks.
• Build and maintain ROI and economic models for budgeting, forecasting, and new Snowflake feature rollouts.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear narratives for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in data analytics, FP&A, business consulting, or cloud data warehousing.
• Strong experience in business consulting or FP&A and solving complex business problems with data.
• Advanced SQL and Excel skills; familiarity with Python and Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
• Understanding of cloud technology architectures, especially data warehousing.
• Role location: Menlo Park, California, United States.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or certification in analytics or business management, such as an MBA.
• Experience with cloud economics or FinOps.
