Quality Engineering Manager (Aerosol Manufacturing)

Location: Decatur, Alabama, United States of America; onsite role with some travel required.

What you will do

• Build quality controls into production processes and manage statistical-based quality monitoring.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing tooling, processes, methods, and procedures to improve performance.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions to reduce scrap, nonconforming material, defects, and customer complaints.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Management on quality monitoring, containment, improvement, and corrective action activities.
• Respond to customer quality concerns, provide KPI and project reports, and ensure timely issue closure.
• Lead quality audits and Advanced Quality Planning efforts while maintaining procedures, PFMEA, and control plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 2–5 years of quality engineering experience or equivalent experience.
• Strong statistical analysis, verbal communication, written communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional project teams and influencing without direct authority.
• Ability to work with ambiguity, handle complicated tasks, and summarize information into clear instructions.
• Some travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Minitab experience.
• Quality Engineer Certification.
• Prior experience in an aerosol manufacturing environment.
• Experience successfully leading manufacturing improvement projects.
