Manager Quality (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead a multi-year transformation from quality control to quality assurance and operational excellence.
• Set and maintain quality standards aligned with customer, regulatory, and hirify.global Quality Management System requirements.
• Own plant quality outcomes, including customer experience metrics, compliance, continuous improvement, and cost-of-quality reduction.
• Partner with plant teams, corporate quality, and suppliers to resolve issues and improve product and process quality.
• Establish quality goals, metrics, inspection and testing methods, and standard tools while driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Report quality performance to senior leadership and customers, coach teams, and manage resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or Industrial Technology.
• At least 5 years of progressive engineering experience focused on quality management.
• At least 2 years of experience leading, mentoring, and coaching individuals and teams.
• Strong analytical skills, data-driven decision-making, prioritization, and team mentoring abilities.
• Experience with quality processes in manufacturing environments, including high-mix/low-volume and high-volume/low-mix operations.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, Quality Manager or Quality Engineer certification, and/or Six Sigma expertise.
• Strong ERP/MRP experience with SAP, Oracle, or equivalent, plus Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Expertise in Lean principles, continuous improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Knowledge of APQP, A3, 8D, 5 Whys, and stage-gate product development.
• Experience in global, matrixed organizations and cross-site collaboration.
