Sr Credit Strategy Analyst (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; hybrid work model with required in-office attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Remote placement is not considered. Local Pacific Time hours are required, with travel to offices or other locations as needed. Relocation is offered based on the actual job level.

Base salary: $103,000–$121,000 per year, plus potential equity awards and annual bonus.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and monitor credit strategies for personal-loan underwriting, pricing, loan amounts, and verification.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests using hypothesis-testing frameworks to assess risk-return tradeoffs.
• Build automated dashboards tracking funnel conversion, strategy performance, and portfolio KPIs.
• Analyze loan performance, identify underperformance and root causes, and support risk-mitigation recommendations.
• Assess credit expansion opportunities and estimate their effects on loan volume, credit losses, and risk-adjusted revenue.
• Evaluate traditional and non-traditional data sources, collaborate with Technology teams on implementation, and use AI tools to support analysis and reporting.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in credit, analytics, risk management, data science, or a combination of these areas.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent education and experience, with a quantitative background such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Economics.
• Experience using SQL and familiarity with Python or R for analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau or Excel for dashboards and analytical communication.
• Understanding of statistical analysis and hypothesis testing, with an interest in credit risk and pricing decisions.
• Ability to work hybrid in San Francisco during local Pacific Time hours; remote placement is not considered.
