Principal Software Engineer - Segment QE Architect (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $156,600–$215,400 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Define and execute enterprise automation architecture strategies, roadmaps, standards, reference architectures, and governance practices.
• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, integration, end-to-end, cloud-native, microservices, and distributed applications.
• Build reusable automation accelerators, libraries, templates, utilities, and integration patterns across Azure DevOps, qTest, Tosca, Jira, and CI/CD platforms.
• Lead AI-enabled testing initiatives, including test generation, self-healing automation, defect prediction, risk-based testing, and intelligent test execution.
• Integrate automated quality gates and continuous testing into DevOps and CI/CD delivery models.
• Provide architecture guidance, conduct reviews, support transformation initiatives, and mentor quality engineers, SDETs, automation engineers, and technical leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering, automation engineering, SDET, or software engineering, including 8+ years designing enterprise automation frameworks.
• Deep experience with Selenium, Playwright, Tricentis Tosca, Cypress, Appium, and API automation frameworks.
• Extensive experience with Azure DevOps, qTest, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, continuous integration, continuous testing, and continuous delivery.
• Strong programming skills in Java, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with web, API, microservices, cloud-native, and distributed applications, alongside strong communication, leadership, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries.
• Experience with AI-driven testing tools, intelligent automation platforms, AI-based testing agents, Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted software testing.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and enterprise-wide quality engineering transformation initiatives.
