Staff QA Software Engineer (Quantum Security)

Location: Based at the Santa Clara, California office with the option to work remotely a few days per week; travel up to 15% domestically or internationally.

Salary: $152,000–$190,000 USD base salary, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, execute, and maintain test cases and test plans for network discovery, topology mapping, policy analysis, posture scoring, alerting, and reporting.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and REST API testing across product releases and sprints.
• Validate Layer 2/Layer 3 network models, including VLANs, routing, ACLs, NAT, and firewall rules.
• Build and maintain automated UI and API test suites using Selenium, REST Assured, and Pytest.
• Set up virtual network test environments and multi-vendor device configurations using tools such as GNS3, EVE-NG, and containerlab.
• Triage defects, collaborate on root-cause analysis and fixes, and contribute to sprint planning, release readiness, test strategy, documentation, and CI/CD integration.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software QA or testing experience, preferably with SaaS or enterprise infrastructure products.
• Working knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, subnetting, routing protocols, ACLs, NAT, and firewall logic.
• Foundational security knowledge covering firewall policies, segmentation, and common vulnerabilities or misconfigurations.
• Experience with manual and automated testing, REST APIs, JSON payloads, and defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to write clear, reproducible defect reports.
• U.S. person status or qualifying U.S. immigration status may be required for access to export-controlled technology and government-contract work.

Nice to have

• Scripting experience with Python or Bash.
• Experience with GNS3, EVE-NG, AWS VPC, or Azure VNet.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
• ISTQB, CCNA, or Security+ certification.
