VP, Senior Cloud Data Architecture & Migration Leader (Fintech)

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, United States; hybrid work with required commuting to the nearest hirify.global Hub for in-person meetings, training, and culture events. Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

Salary: $170,000–$290,000 annual, plus eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise cloud data migration strategy, roadmaps, modernization initiatives, and execution frameworks.
• Define the strategic vision, adoption model, governance approach, and value roadmap for cloud data platforms and data products.
• Provide architecture leadership across cloud data platforms, lakehouse and data mesh patterns, event-driven architecture, APIs, semantic layers, and AI and analytics ecosystems.
• Establish reusable migration frameworks, reference architectures, design patterns, governance controls, and implementation standards.
• Coordinate prioritization, sequencing, risk management, cost, performance, resilience, and business outcomes across complex migration programs.
• Lead executive communications, stakeholder alignment, coaching, mentorship, and decision-making across architecture, engineering, product, analytics, security, risk, and operations teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or 10+ years of hands-on experience without a bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years leading data platform modernization, cloud migration, enterprise data architecture, data product, or large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms, data lakes, lakehouse architectures, data warehousing, integration, governance, security, IAM, data protection, analytics, and operational data capabilities.
• Experience defining enterprise roadmaps, migration strategies, product capability plans, adoption strategies, implementation standards, and measurable outcomes.
• Deep knowledge of SAFe Agile and experience leading globally distributed Agile teams using JIRA or similar tools.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Must be able to travel for business and commute to the nearest Hub for required in-person activities.

Nice to have

• Experience in credit card, banking, financial services, or fintech organizations.
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, cloud-native data services, containerized platforms, microservices, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, high-availability workloads, and regulated sensitive data.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale transformation programs and improving data-product adoption and user experiences.
