Events Lead (AI)

Location: Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States; onsite event management required with frequent domestic travel and extended hours

What you will do

• Plan and execute VIP launch campaigns, special events, internal events, customer experiences, and conference sponsorship activations.
• Source and manage venues, transportation, catering, audio/visual vendors, entertainment, and other event suppliers.
• Manage agendas, registration pages, invite lists, executive customer communications, and onsite event operations.
• Develop branding elements, décor, interactive activations, themes, gifting, and branded event materials.
• Track budgets, payments, supplies, shipping, inventory, and other departmental administration.
• Use AI to streamline and automate event-planning workflows and administrative processes while coordinating with merchandising and security teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience in event planning or hospitality.
• Experience with venue sourcing, event design, vendor procurement, décor, food and beverage, logistics, and entertainment.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and pressure-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs, event diagramming software, event registration platforms, and organizational tools such as SmartSheet.
• Must be able to pass Air Force and NASA background checks for installation access at Vandenberg and Cape Canaveral.

Nice to have

• Degree in marketing, communications, event management, hospitality, or a related field.
• Experience using AI for work-related tasks.
• Experience with Social Tables, Splash, Eventbrite, or similar tools.
