Equipment Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at 6457 Fly Rd, East Syracuse, NY 13057; second shift with required overtime, including weekends.

Salary: $50,073–$79,147 annually, with possible bonus and shift premium.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, adjust, repair, and replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Install feeders, branch-circuit wiring, conduit, sensing devices, and basic electrical apparatus.
• Troubleshoot motors, transformers, relays, contactors, lighting fixtures, control circuits, plumbing, and related equipment.
• Complete preventive-maintenance and work-order records and communicate incomplete work across shifts.
• Participate in equipment training, knowledge sharing, and all environmental, health, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical aptitude and safe use of basic hand and power tools; employees must provide their own basic hand tools.
• Ability to read technical instructions, manuals, schematics, and diagrams and complete electronic work orders.
• Ability to stand for a full shift, lift 40 pounds, work in confined spaces, and work in crouched or overhead positions.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as required for the job.
• Must comply with US export-control and ITAR requirements; access to restricted ITAR products and technical data is limited to US citizens and US permanent residents.

Nice to have

• 0–3 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, or installing manufacturing equipment.
• Trade experience in electrical, mechanical, electronics, HVAC, plumbing, or welding.
• Licensing or journeyman status.
