Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster (Fintech)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; fully remote, with comfort with on-site presence for collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.

Base compensation: $85,000–$100,000 per year.

What you will do

• Independently manage a caseload of complex Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims from assignment through resolution.
• Investigate claims, determine compensability, review medical documentation and coverage, and develop handling strategies.
• Evaluate exposure, establish reserves, and manage complex indemnity and litigated claims.
• Develop claim resolution strategies and negotiate settlements with support from defense counsel and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate return-to-work efforts and identify opportunities for cost containment, subrogation, and fraud investigation.
• Maintain accurate claim documentation, diaries, follow-up activities, and records in claims management systems.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience handling Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims.
• Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania workers' compensation laws, regulations, and claims-handling practices.
• Experience managing complex indemnity claims, litigated claims, resolution strategies, and settlement negotiations.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex claims independently in a remote environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office.

• Delaware workers' compensation claims experience.
• New Jersey workers' compensation claims experience.
• Additional workers' compensation education, claims training, or industry certifications.
