Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster (Florida - Remote)

Location: Fully remote; Florida residency is highly preferred, and an active Florida All Lines Adjuster license is required. The role may require travel to client meetings, continuing education seminars, scene investigations, or inspections.

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Adjust and settle represented and unrepresented bodily injury claims involving general liability, auto liability, errors and omissions, and law enforcement matters.
• Review new assignments, contact claimants and insureds, gather evidence, obtain statements, evaluate damages, and coordinate appraisals or field adjusters.
• Determine liability, attorney involvement, claim denial or settlement recommendations, and payment authorization in accordance with client guidelines.
• Manage claim documentation, reminders, workflow deadlines, ISO ClaimSearch checks, closure targets, and mandatory Medicare reporting.
• Coordinate with clients, other insurers, defense counsel, excess carriers, and supervisors on litigation, coverage, status reporting, and claims requiring escalation.
• Apply Florida No Fault/PIP law, sovereign immunity requirements, excess policy provisions, and good-faith claims-handling standards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience handling and settling bodily injury claims, including represented and unrepresented files.
• Active Florida All Lines Adjuster license required; Florida residency is highly preferred.
• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of tort law, bad-faith procedures, case law, liability principles, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, claim systems, documentation, time management, and deadline-driven multitasking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, independent judgment, discretion, organization, and follow-through.
