Strategic Finance Lead (AI)

hirify.global develops AI inference infrastructure and works to grow vLLM as an efficient, high-performance inference engine.

What you will do

• Build financial models and recommendations covering inference economics, pricing, commercial opportunities, compute spending, and hiring.
• Own the operating model, budgeting, rolling forecasts, headcount planning, expense planning, and cash runway scenarios.
• Evaluate growth and investment priorities, customer and product profitability, unit economics, pricing, and resource allocation.
• Partner with founders, engineering, infrastructure, go-to-market, People, and the Corporate Controller to reconcile plans with accounting actuals and explain variances.
• Prepare board reporting, fundraising models, investor analyses, and decision materials for senior leadership.

Requirements

• Experience owning strategic finance, business planning, or financial analysis for a growing technology business.
• Strong financial modeling skills, including driver-based revenue and expense forecasts, headcount plans, and integrated income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow models.
• Experience evaluating unit economics, investment returns, pricing, and resource allocation.
• Ability to reconcile plans with accounting actuals, analyze performance variances, and identify timing, data, or modeling issues.
• Advanced spreadsheet and analytical skills with strong communication and business-partnering abilities.
• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI infrastructure, cloud platforms, developer tools, usage-based software, or infrastructure-intensive businesses.
• Experience analyzing compute costs, capacity commitments, utilization, and deployment models with engineering or infrastructure teams.
• Experience with distributed or international organizations, planning systems, dashboards, data integrations, or automated reporting.
• SQL or lightweight scripting experience.
