Senior Full-Stack Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid schedule with Wednesdays working from home

Salary: $220,000–$300,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Partner with product leaders to define strategic initiatives, identify customer problems, and translate requirements into technical execution.
• Build and maintain complex full-stack product features and systems focused on reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Develop observability, metrics, and proactive issue-detection systems.
• Lead technical design discussions, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and establish engineering standards.
• Support recruiting, knowledge-sharing, and the development of a high-performing engineering team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience across front-end and back-end technologies.
• Experience building large-scale, high-performance, mission-critical systems and processing large volumes of data.
• Strong interest in Large Language Models and systems that support and leverage them.
• Ability to work with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Apollo GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience designing, architecting, and scaling backend systems in production.
• Strong communication, independent project leadership, and sound software engineering fundamentals.
