Senior Software Engineer (AI) | Home

Location: Hybrid schedule based at the South Charlotte, NC headquarters Monday through Thursday, with fully remote work on Fridays.

Total cash compensation: $100,000–$175,000 per year, depending on location, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Own support for existing Twilio-based sales center tooling and lead the migration to Genesys, including cutover planning, testing, and stabilization.
• Design and implement inbound and outbound call flows across telephony configuration, backend services, and full-stack product components.
• Embed LLM and AI capabilities into production workflows, including call summarization, sentiment and topic detection, and automated QA.
• Use Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or comparable AI development tools throughout the development lifecycle and create custom prompts, skills, and workflows.
• Deliver features from architecture and implementation through deployment and observability, while participating in code reviews and pair programming.
• Mentor engineers on AI-assisted development practices and contribute to experimentation, Agile delivery, and technical collaboration.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience delivering complex production features.
• 4+ years of production experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• 3+ years of experience with a SaaS telephony platform such as Twilio, Genesys, or a comparable platform, including call routing, flow configuration, and integrations.
• Daily, active use of AI-assisted development tools is required, including building custom skills, prompts, or workflows beyond out-of-the-box usage.
• Production experience integrating LLM and AI APIs such as Anthropic or OpenAI, plus deep AWS experience with Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with Databricks or comparable data warehousing and pipeline tools, monitoring and observability platforms, mentoring, Scrum or Agile practices, and clear technical communication.
