Process Control Engineer/Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Jackson, Alabama, United States; onsite at the mill

Salary: $86,400–$108,000 per year

What you will do

• Support mill operations and optimize control systems to reduce cost, improve quality, and minimize process variation.
• Design, install, and provide ongoing support for mill DCS hardware and software.
• Provide technical support for process improvement projects.
• Work closely with operations and maintenance to maintain stable and capable processes.
• Research, recommend, and implement technologies that reduce cost or increase production.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in electrical engineering, chemical engineering, or paper science, or a technical degree with at least three years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong organization and effective communication skills.
• Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to work onsite at the Jackson, Alabama mill.

Nice to have

• Experience with ABB 800xA HMI, DeltaV HMI, Allen Bradley PLCs, paper gauging, Entech Tuning, Pi ProcessBook, MPC implementation, networks, computer hardware, or process improvement methods.
• Pulp and paper mill experience.
• Three to five years of experience with Bailey Infi-90 DCS.
