Principal Process Engineer – Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing

Base salary: $95,000–$245,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Develop, optimize, qualify, and standardize processes including metal etch, copper plating, sputter deposition, MEMS DBI, and upstream and downstream process flows.
• Lead yield improvement, reliability, failure analysis, process integration, continuous improvement, and new product introduction initiatives.
• Design and evaluate MEMS devices and packaged assemblies using modeling, simulation, fabrication, metrology, and performance-testing tools.
• Translate quantitative findings into manufacturing strategies, process modifications, documentation, and risk-mitigation plans.
• Mentor process engineers, establish engineering best practices, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in Microsystems Engineering or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor or MEMS fabrication processes, tools, instrumentation, and metrology.
• Proficiency with device design, modeling, performance testing, statistical process control, reliability, failure analysis, and yield improvement software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance required; Secret clearance preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or physics discipline.
