Senior Wet Etch Manufacturing Development Engineer

Location: Hybrid work model in Hillsboro, Oregon or Phoenix, Arizona, United States; on-site presence at an assigned hirify.global site is required.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced wet etch and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Develop technology roadmaps and pathfinding activities for next-generation manufacturing processes and device architectures.
• Optimize process parameters, materials, equipment, and systems to improve production efficiency and reduce defects.
• Drive root-cause analysis, yield improvement, and data-driven problem solving from concept through factory implementation.
• Integrate etch with deposition, CMP, and lithography modules while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Support high-volume production scaling and advanced foundry customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, electrical engineering, materials science, physics, mechanical engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 7+ years of semiconductor manufacturing, process development, or technology development experience.
• Experience with design of experiments and statistical process control.
• Experience with structured root-cause analysis, data analytics, process optimization, defect reduction, and manufacturing improvements.
• Experience integrating semiconductor process modules, including etch, deposition, CMP, or lithography.
• Hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing processes, etching, material science, or equipment metrology.

Nice to have

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant engineering, science, or STEM discipline.
• Experience with sub-10nm logic or leading-edge foundry nodes.
• Experience collaborating with equipment and materials suppliers.
• Cross-functional leadership of yield improvement and technology ramp initiatives.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and acting as a technical focal point.
