Staff/Senior Software Engineer (Cloud Platform Engineering)

Location: U.S. (Remote); Work location listed as Mountain View / San Francisco.

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 USD

What you will do

• Design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure across GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Develop infrastructure as code and configuration management using Terraform and related tools.
• Implement SRE practices, including monitoring, logging, alerting, capacity planning, error budgets, SLIs, SLOs, and incident management.
• Deploy and scale applications on Kubernetes using Helm and build CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure.
• Improve cloud security and compliance through best practices, audits, and assessments.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and operations while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, or related roles.
• Strong experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and cloud-native services.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Kubernetes, and configuration management tools.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and GCM, plus CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or hirify.global.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or similar languages; experience with Git, AI-Ops, cloud security, and compliance practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or PCI DSS compliance frameworks.
