Cloud Engineer III

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. citizenship required. Candidates must be able to successfully complete and maintain the required federal Public Trust background investigation and suitability determination.

Starting pay: $120,000–$140,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and deploy cloud solutions using Cloud.gov and Azure.
• Design, implement, automate, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance and availability.
• Implement and maintain security measures for cloud environments.
• Automate operational tasks to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and cross-functional teams to integrate cloud technologies.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Cloud.gov, or Azure.
• Expert-level knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security measures.
• Expert-level knowledge of infrastructure as code tools, especially Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to complete and maintain a federal Public Trust background investigation are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cloud.gov and Azure.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator.
• Experience supporting government or federal programs.
