Salary: $240,000–$260,000 annually

What you will do
- Serve as the dedicated legal resource for the Servicing Team and provide real-time operational guidance.
- Lead compliance analysis and policy development under Reg X, Reg Z, FDCPA, UDAAP, TCPA, and applicable state servicing and collections laws.
- Draft and maintain loss mitigation policies, collections strategies, and servicing procedures.
- Assess legal and regulatory risks affecting investment products, servicing operations, and default management.
- Review vendor contracts and statements of work for collections and default management providers.
- Support asset sale and securitization transactions, regulatory examinations, and escalated consumer complaints.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience as a practicing attorney, including substantial experience in consumer loan servicing, collections, or default management.
- Deep knowledge of consumer debt collections, servicing, foreclosure, lending, and related state and federal laws, including FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA, UDAAP, TILA, RESPA, and ECOA.
- Experience advising on loss mitigation structuring and post-default strategies in consumer, mortgage, or home improvement lending.
- Familiarity with AI governance and emerging regulatory frameworks for AI in collections and financial services.
- Membership in an applicable state bar in good standing and a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Strong written, verbal, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
