Legal Engineer - Agent Deployment (AI)

Location: New York City, United States. Hybrid work model with an in-office expectation of 4-5 days per week. Significant onsite work at client locations, typically in the NYC metro area, may be required.

Base salary: $175,000-$225,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the regulatory and compliance legal expert during client engagements, applying laws and regulations to client-specific needs.
• Lead client onboarding and lifecycle engagement, including demos, presentations, legal collateral, renewals, and upsells.
• Analyze legal and regulatory documents and translate complex requirements into actionable guidance and tailored solutions.
• Use internal tools to develop automated analysis of regulations and align the platform with client-specific legal obligations.
• Collect and present client feedback to shape product enhancements and improve compliance outcomes.
• Coordinate with Client Engagement, Sales, Legal Engineering, and AI Engineering teams to resolve client issues and support deployments.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and at least 4 years of legal experience in regulatory enforcement and compliance for the financial sector.
• Significant experience working with legal professionals, compliance officers, or highly regulated industries such as financial services and insurance.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office, legal research and document systems, including Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, SEC EDGAR, PACER, Relativity, DISCO, TAR, iManage, Adobe Acrobat, and Litera Compare.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain complex legal and regulatory concepts to clients.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships independently, with strong organizational and project management skills.
• Practical fluency with AI tools and the ability to demonstrate how AI is used in day-to-day work.
