Maintenance Mechanic (Warehouse)

Location: R4 Perishable DC, Independence, Kentucky, United States; onsite warehouse role

Pay: Starting from $23.50 per hour

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on forklifts, pallet jacks, sweepers, scrubbers, tuggers, reach trucks, wrap machines, dock locks, levelers, and clamp attachments.
• Maintain powered equipment cleanliness and ensure equipment is operated safely and accurately.
• Complete general warehouse, facility, and equipment maintenance to support a safe and professional work environment.
• Read schematics and use maintenance-related programs, including recycling and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Operate powered warehouse equipment and respond to on-call maintenance requests.
• Work flexible schedules that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call periods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two years of previous mechanical experience.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to use email, word processing, spreadsheets, WMS, and other applications.
• Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment with heat, cold, noise, dust, and temperatures as low as -20°F.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally, with frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, grasping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to use required PPE, including steel-toed footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, and insulated clothing.
