Maintenance Mechanic 2 (Manufacturing)

Location: Smyrna, Tennessee, United States; onsite, 1st shift

What you will do

• Maintain production equipment and respond to equipment errors or failures.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems using diagrams, manuals, specifications, and precision testing instruments.
• Service die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyors, and bindery equipment.
• Repair or reproduce parts using welders, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and other machine-shop equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Typically four to five years of relevant experience.
• Strong mechanical reasoning, communication, problem-solving, and conscientiousness.
• Experience with electronics, pneumatics, Windows-based PC applications, and AC/DC electrical troubleshooting using a multimeter.
• Ability to use saws, drills, cutters, grinders, torches, welders, and other fabrication equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints.
