Maintenance Mechanic I (Manufacturing)

Location: Cleveland, Mississippi, United States; onsite at a manufacturing plant. The role requires work on most holidays, some weekends, plant shutdown periods, and occasional overnight travel for factory acceptance and training.

Salary: $46,400–$58,000 per year.

What you will do

• Perform repairs, preventive maintenance, installation, rebuilding, and modification of manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum, and PLC-related issues.
• Use hand tools, power tools, electrical test instruments, drawing packages, and multimeters to diagnose equipment failures.
• Analyze root causes, recommend corrective actions, and create or support troubleshooting and setup procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering, technology, quality, vendors, and equipment suppliers on equipment projects and approvals.
• Maintain Maximo work orders, quality records, spare-parts information, safety practices, 6S standards, and cGMP requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus at least two years of experience in mechanical systems repair, industrial maintenance, or equivalent technical work.
• An associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum, and PLC knowledge.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform bending, climbing, reaching, squatting, balancing, and other physical plant duties.
• Ability to work rotating duties, overtime, most holidays, some weekends, and plant shutdown periods.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.
