Associate Category Manager (Retail)

Salary: $89,700–$134,600 per year

What you will do

• Own the category P&L and business results, tracking sales, gross margin, units, transactions, market share, budgets, and prior-year performance.
• Develop annual, long-term, quarterly, and in-season category strategies based on customer, market, financial, vendor, and store insights.
• Manage assortment and item productivity, including new item evaluation, launches, changes, discontinuations, distribution, costs, retails, and space.
• Lead pricing and promotional strategy, including offer selection, timing, merchandising, vendor funding, and post-event evaluation.
• Build vendor relationships, conduct business reviews, negotiate costs and allowances, and resolve commercial issues.
• Drive store execution by partnering with Store Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Pricing, field operations, and vendors.

Requirements

• Proficiency in one or more of Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Proficient understanding of P&L statements.
• Ability to manage projects with supervision, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
• Strong communication, collaboration, influencing, and presentation skills, including presenting to peers and executives.
• Professional demeanor in interactions with internal and external partners.
