Excess Buyer (Electronics)

Location: Hybrid work from Guadalajara, Mexico, supporting coverage across Mexico, the US, Canada, and LATAM.

What you will do

• Develop and grow a pipeline of excess inventory suppliers, including OEMs, EMS providers, and distributors.
• Prospect new vendors through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and industry events.
• Build strategic supplier relationships, source components, negotiate pricing, and purchase inventory within margin targets.
• Identify speculative buys, shortage, end-of-life, and last-time-buy opportunities aligned with customer demand.
• Collaborate with Sales to match inventory with active demand and expand resale opportunities.
• Manage supplier data, purchase orders, contracts, inventory records, deal pipelines, and management updates in ERP/CRM systems.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in procurement, excess inventory, or semiconductor distribution.
• Understanding of the electronics supply chain, including OEMs, EMS providers, and distributors.
• Experience with vendor prospecting, relationship development, negotiation, and closing.
• Advanced Excel skills for analysis, pricing, and data handling.
• Written and verbal English required.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• Existing network within OEMs, EMS providers, or distributors in the assigned region.
• Experience with shortage, end-of-life, or last-time-buy components.
• Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems.
